Billy Van Ho

Hello, I'm Billy Van Ho. I come from humble beginnings, born in Cambodia's concentration camp during the Communist Khmer regime. Tragically, my father lost his life due to his race and social standing. Determined to give her children a better life, my mother led us in escaping the camp just two weeks after my birth in 1976, seeking refuge in Thailand. In 1980, we finally found a safe haven in California. Our journey was filled with challenges, but my mother's strength and unwavering determination propelled us forward.

Growing up in urban Los Angeles, specifically in the Echo Park Area with a significant Cambodian refugee community, I witnessed firsthand the struggles and triumphs of my people. As my family achieved success, we moved eastward to the San Gabriel Valley, where we proudly purchased our first home in Rosemead in 1997. I completed my education at San Gabriel High School and spent most of my young adulthood in Rosemead until 2005, when I made the move to Hacienda Heights.

The absence of my father in my life taught me the importance of tenacity and grit. Watching my single mother overcome challenges instilled in me a drive to succeed. After high school, I juggled two jobs, working as a proof operator at a bank and a telemarketer for an insurance agency, all while pursuing my college education. It was during this time that I discovered my natural ability to build relationships and assist customers. Recognizing my passion for helping others, I made the pivotal decision to obtain my insurance license and embark on a career in the insurance industry. Little did I know that this choice would not only lead to professional success but also introduce me to the love of my life, Lisa, whom I met while working as an insurance agent (yes, she was a prospect!). We've been together for over fifteen years now and are blessed with three beautiful children.

Becoming a State Farm Agent in 2011 was a natural progression for me because I genuinely enjoy educating customers about insurance and ensuring that their most prized possessions are protected. Alongside my bilingual team, providing excellent customer service and prioritizing our customer's needs is our top priority.

During my free time, I treasure moments spent with my family, supporting my children in their sports activities, exploring new destinations through travel, indulging in my passion for cooking, and nurturing my love for cars. As a true supporter of our local professional teams, I proudly cheer for the Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams.
